Olympics

Every time that I watch gymnastics I tend to think about the same issue. Is there no other option than the scrunchie? Carrie Bradshaw said it best (in a Sex and the City episode) that you can tell someone is not from NYC if they have a scrunchie in their hair. Well it's obvious that none of these girls are from NYC but where do you even buy scrunchies these days? I haven't seen them in the stores in years. Am I not shopping at the right stores. Furthermore have they heard of bobby pins??? Why the obnoxious old snap-ie looking pins, that nine times out of ten, they have so many in their hair that they don't even all match. You're competing in the Olympics and the ENTIRE world is watching you....have some dang fashion sense. I am pretty sure one of the non-slip hair rubber bands they make now will hold you ponytail back through all the flips and stuff you're doing on the uneven bars and in your floor exercise. Bobby pins won't look so crazy in your hair....plus the Aqua Net they have clearly been using is going to hold all those little fly-aways down anyway.....I wonder if they give you a scrunchie when you make the Olympic team.
