Time flies when you're having fun!

Reese is OBSESSED with washing dishes. She will sit there with the water running all day if I let her. I blame my Nana (kidding Nana) she washed dishes at her house while Nana was babysitting so now Reese loves doing it. I don't mind, I let her play for a few minutes everyday and she LOVES it.
Happy as a clam.
Trying to get a picture of her before class. She's not really into posing for pictures right now as you can tell from the look on her face. I know the dress in kind of short. Reese HATES dresses. I got this for her in Sept. and this is the first time she has agreed to wear it. I know I should not let her get her way with clothes however if you heard the screaming that goes along with having to wear a dress you'd let her wear pants too. Anyway she finally agreed to wear this, so I guess once is good enough. I'll take what I can get.
We headed to the butterfly house yesterday with Claire and her Mom. There were not too many butterflies out since the weather was kind of stinky but it was good to try out. I know she'll enjoy it more when we head back this summer when the butterflies are plentiful.
Singing and dancing to a Barney song she sang all on her own. The song is all about butterflies, so it was very fitting for the butterfly house.
Reese and her good friend Claire. They are about 3.5 weeks apart in age (Claire is older). They have soooo much fun together.
We resorted to a new low. I am bribing Reese to keep her hair in pony or pigtails. She gets M&M's if she keeps them in.
How stinking cute does she look with her pigtails and the little addidas workout band I wear in my hair.
We went to the Science Museum this morning after Stroller Strides. She played with some of her friends and then played by herself for a while before she announced she was tired and wanted to go home.
Pushing the buttons to hear animal sounds.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We're a little late but Reese wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!
Headed to Stroller Strides on a chilly morning!
Can you tell she wanted nothing to do with getting her picture taken?

Baking

Since we went from nearly 70 degrees yesterday to a chilly (and really windy) 50 today, we are stuck inside. We hit Stroller Strides this a.m. and then we decided to bake cookies. Reese loves cooking and helping in the kitchen so she had a blast. Apparently Thurman didn't want to miss out of the fun either.
No worries the dog never got to sample our batch
How do I ALWAYS end up with the dogs that fell off the circus train?

One more

We have class every Monday at the Aquarium. Here's my little Stroller Strides Instructor in Training. She seriously is doing the entire exercise with great form. It makes me proud that she already likes working out just like her Mama!

I know I said I would be better at posting....

I know, I said I would be better about posting. I got busy.

Reese and I headed to Kingwood two weeks ago as my Grandpa, the great Felix Sternson, was very ill. We got to visit with him before he passed away on January 25, 2010. As you can imagine he will be missed but he was a super great guy and we will remember him fondly. We were very lucky to have him in Texas for the last year and a half and we spent many hours visiting and entertaining both he and my grandmother. Obviously we have more recent pictures of them together but I like this one.
87 years old...not too shabby!

A girl and her dog. Can you feel the love? I have to add this shelter dog, while a little nutty, is awesome with Reese. He loves her and is so willing to do whatever she asks of him. Even when that is walking him around the house by the collar, or putting ALL his dog food in her own Tupperware containers and feeding him one kibble at a time.

Cooking me cinnamon rolls!
A child ona misson. Despite chilly temps, a locked door, boots on the wrong feet and an obvious lack of pants, she knew she wanted to go outside.
We're off to see the Wizard....fell asleep watching her favorite new movie...the Wizard of Oz.
Saturday, after being inside all week (rain) we headed out to the Aquarium for the morning.
She spent 2 hours running around looking at all her favorite things, we ran a few errands and then spent 2 hours at the park across the street from our house. It's no wonder she passed out at 7 p.m. while dinner was in the oven.
A girl and her Dad....notice the Dad never offered to take a picture of the girl and her Mom

This picture is for Chips...I don't know why I think of my Uncle Chips when I see a huge gator that could eat him in one bite...I just do but I know he probably thinks this is a great picture. Did they ever catch the gator in your apartment complex?

It's not everyday you get Ryan to crawl under a fish tank to look at it with Reese.
