another video

I don't know if I should be proud of the first part of this video. Obviously I did not teach her this word, even though I am heard on the video. I did however teach her the little diddy at the end of the video...that is something to be proud of.

Videos

Just thought I would share a long video of Reese from Easter and another little video of her singing Happy Birthday.
In the Easter video it took her a little while to get the hang of hunting eggs but after that she had a blast. The peanut gallery of cheering fans made her day. Thanks peanut gallery.

As for her new Happy Birthday obsession...who knows. We've been to a few parties but not enough to make that song a fixture in our songbook. She sings it daily...each day it's someone else's birthday. Last week it was Chewie...then Daddy's and Kobe's. On Saturday she really did get to tell Jason Homann "Happy Birthday". She was thrilled.

Hope you all enjoy the videos.

Lots to update you on

Easter in North Carolina was awesome. It was in the 60's, sunny and a little breezey. I LOVED the weather...wish I could have bottled it up and brought it back with me. I could have sat outside FOREVER...I love that kind of weather. We also had TONS of fun with the family. I have no pictures from the Easter Egg Hunt as I was in charge of the video camera. Once I make my movie montage I will get it uploaded on the blog. For now deal with the pictures.

Reese in her sunglasses.
Christy watching Reese unpack the third Easter Basket of the day. No she's not spoiled what would make you think that.
Leslie wearing Reese's Easter sunglasses. Doesn't she look HOT? By the way this weekend we reaffirmed Reese's LOVE for Aunt Sister. Man I could leave her with Sister forever and Reese would be the happiest kid on the planet...and we don't see Sister all that often...but Reese loves her...I guess it's because Reese knows Leslie was there when she took her first breath of life.

Easter Basket # 2....LOTS of loot...coloring books, chalk, bubbles galore, a bubble gun, crayons etc.
Smile...Happy Easter.

Loved the blow ups in the yard

Uncle Bill and Ryan's arm...handing Reese her quacking duck

So happy to get chocolate bunnies

Shockingly...I am including a picture of myself on the blog. It's been a while since we had a Mom and Baby shot on here....
Pretty days call for pretty dresses. Thanks MeMe. Dresses are also handy when getting booster shots at your 18 month appointment. I am delighted to say she got two shots and didn't cry. She's 25 pounds and 32 inches tall. I'm a bad mother and did not write the stat crap down. She's normal...we'll leave it at that.

We went to the Food Lion (grocery store in North Carolina) to stock up on whole milk, apple juice and beer (three things almost everyone buys together). While Dad and Ryan were in the store the girls stayed in the car to wait. We witnessed this dude...we shall call him the snake charmer. I guess in NC when you have nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon you can throw the python around your neck and sit in the grocery store parking lot. Sorry the picture is fuzzy we were driving past him. I sure as shit wasn't getting out of the car...obviously this guy is slightly off his rocker to be chillin' with the snake in the parking lot. I wasn't getting close to him or his friend. (This picture is out of place..I must have hit a funky button)
This morning we went to take a tour of the Fire Station with our friends from Stroller Strides. It was the only station in Corpus that has actual fire poles. We didn't get to go down but it was fun to check it all out. Reese really didn't do much besides walk around but we got to see their TV room, dorms, kitchen, and the inside of the fire station. They showed us the ladder truck (in use) the Ambulance and Fire Truck...sirens and all. They even had a call while we were there, so we got to see the truck roll out of the station with sirens going. Reese was a little shy but seemed to enjoy herself. Reminds me of the times Pop-pop used to take us to the fire station...but back then we got to play in the Chief's office...it's nice when you're related to the "Boss Man"

This was her favorite part of the whole thing...sitting on the fire engine.
Oh she liked the "wada" as well...she would not sit on the fireman's lap to spray the hose. She got close, realized she had to sit on his lap and high tailed it on outta there.

They made the rookie climb up to the very top of the ladder truck and man was he high up.

Reese's friends trying on the hats.

I'd like to title this picture "How to scare the shit out of 10 kids in under 2 seconds flat"

I don't know what scared them more...the Easter Bunny last week or the fireman this week. I think it was a toss up. I'd like to think the Easter Bunny was a little sweeter looking and I know I didn't sounds like Darth Vader either.

The Easter Bunny cometh!

Busy week, LOTS of play dates, one party and GREAT weather. We're off to the skies on Saturday for Reese's first airplane ride. Should be super exciting. I am sure we'll have lots of fun pictures from North Carolina and lots of good memories from her first big trip.

Really don't you feel sad for Chewie...she's thinking about how she used to rule the roost. I will say after our doggie training session Chewie is a new woman. Yesterday evening we went on a walk after dinner and I didn't even have to hold the leash. BIG progress for my dog.
Saturday after Stroller Strides (yes we go on Saturdays) Reese and I went over to Miss Gail & Kegan's house to play. Reese had so much fun with sidewalk chalk and bubbles. I missed the great photo ops of the kiddos hugging, and holding hands but man do those two like each other. Kegan is 2 and Reese knows he a ball of fun. Keegee as she calls him is another of her all time favorite friends. She'll follow him around all day if he let her. Kegan has a new little brother Ty who Reese is OBSESSED with. Anyway back to the picture...she got so dirty playing with all Kegan's fun stuff that I stripped her down for the ride home. She was so happy after her play date....and I was happy because she took a great nap.
Notice Reese rocking the side ponytail. Yeah you can do that when you're 1. She snacked on the sofa while I vacuumed the house.
We put Reese in the bath but Don King emerged when we were all done.

YIKES!
Pigtails! We're making a lot of progress with the hair bows...(No Mom my bed was not made yet...I was getting dressed when I took this picture.)

I should put her to work at home too!
Just playing!
So this afternoon we attended a friend's 1st birthday party. Coen is one of Reese's favorite boys and she talks about him all the time. She calls him Coey...too cute. The Easter Bunny came today while we were at Coey's birthday party. Reese was terrified and would not come near the Bunny. Too bad I think she would have liked who was inside....ME! Check out the HOT Easter Bunny. Pretty sweet costume if you ask me...It was a little warm in there but the kids loved it...and I had fun hoping around and letting the kids have fun. Seriously that's really me in there. The little man below is Brandon...Reese calls him Brandy (I'm sure his Mom loves that)

Don't you love how I am never in any pictures on the blog and I finally make it on but I'm in a head to toe bunny suit

The Windy City..and I don't mean Chicago

Today we're having 37 mph wind with gusts reaching 47 mph...that's tropical storm force baby. Here's what was in my driveway when I got home today...guess the tree from next door didn't stand up to the wind like we thought it would. This week the gov't is trying to get rid of wind damage insurance in TX....don't eff me over on this people. It's windy here ALL THE TIME...I need the insurance to cover the cost of my roof when the next hurricane blows through.

I think this is a big effing branch

Hair bows!

Here's a video of her playing in the sprinkler and the wind. Seriously I was driving on the highway today and had to go 40 mph so I could make it through the dirt. Not fog DIRT...the wind was blowing the dirt from the farm fields so badly that it was a HUGE dust storm. The electrical lines were being whipped around, billboards were coming off the signs, and there was whitecap waves in the ditches...NUTS
