Lots to update you on

Easter in North Carolina was awesome. It was in the 60's, sunny and a little breezey. I LOVED the weather...wish I could have bottled it up and brought it back with me. I could have sat outside FOREVER...I love that kind of weather. We also had TONS of fun with the family. I have no pictures from the Easter Egg Hunt as I was in charge of the video camera. Once I make my movie montage I will get it uploaded on the blog. For now deal with the pictures.

Reese in her sunglasses.
Christy watching Reese unpack the third Easter Basket of the day. No she's not spoiled what would make you think that.
Leslie wearing Reese's Easter sunglasses. Doesn't she look HOT? By the way this weekend we reaffirmed Reese's LOVE for Aunt Sister. Man I could leave her with Sister forever and Reese would be the happiest kid on the planet...and we don't see Sister all that often...but Reese loves her...I guess it's because Reese knows Leslie was there when she took her first breath of life.

Easter Basket # 2....LOTS of loot...coloring books, chalk, bubbles galore, a bubble gun, crayons etc.
Smile...Happy Easter.

Loved the blow ups in the yard

Uncle Bill and Ryan's arm...handing Reese her quacking duck

So happy to get chocolate bunnies

Shockingly...I am including a picture of myself on the blog. It's been a while since we had a Mom and Baby shot on here....
Pretty days call for pretty dresses. Thanks MeMe. Dresses are also handy when getting booster shots at your 18 month appointment. I am delighted to say she got two shots and didn't cry. She's 25 pounds and 32 inches tall. I'm a bad mother and did not write the stat crap down. She's normal...we'll leave it at that.

We went to the Food Lion (grocery store in North Carolina) to stock up on whole milk, apple juice and beer (three things almost everyone buys together). While Dad and Ryan were in the store the girls stayed in the car to wait. We witnessed this dude...we shall call him the snake charmer. I guess in NC when you have nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon you can throw the python around your neck and sit in the grocery store parking lot. Sorry the picture is fuzzy we were driving past him. I sure as shit wasn't getting out of the car...obviously this guy is slightly off his rocker to be chillin' with the snake in the parking lot. I wasn't getting close to him or his friend. (This picture is out of place..I must have hit a funky button)
This morning we went to take a tour of the Fire Station with our friends from Stroller Strides. It was the only station in Corpus that has actual fire poles. We didn't get to go down but it was fun to check it all out. Reese really didn't do much besides walk around but we got to see their TV room, dorms, kitchen, and the inside of the fire station. They showed us the ladder truck (in use) the Ambulance and Fire Truck...sirens and all. They even had a call while we were there, so we got to see the truck roll out of the station with sirens going. Reese was a little shy but seemed to enjoy herself. Reminds me of the times Pop-pop used to take us to the fire station...but back then we got to play in the Chief's office...it's nice when you're related to the "Boss Man"

This was her favorite part of the whole thing...sitting on the fire engine.
Oh she liked the "wada" as well...she would not sit on the fireman's lap to spray the hose. She got close, realized she had to sit on his lap and high tailed it on outta there.

They made the rookie climb up to the very top of the ladder truck and man was he high up.

Reese's friends trying on the hats.

I'd like to title this picture "How to scare the shit out of 10 kids in under 2 seconds flat"

I don't know what scared them more...the Easter Bunny last week or the fireman this week. I think it was a toss up. I'd like to think the Easter Bunny was a little sweeter looking and I know I didn't sounds like Darth Vader either.
