Reese had her birthday party yesterday and she choose to have a small party with a few girl friends. They each dressed as a princess and they were so cute! We had two Cinderellas, two Belles and one Merida (Brave) and one Aggie Prince.
The girls snacked on tiara shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chocolate dipped pretzels rods, chocolate dipped marshmallows, tiara rice krispy treats, strawberries, grapes and cupcakes! They colored princess frames, made Halloween masks, had a Princess fashion show, and played so nicely together. It was a blast. Ryan dressed up as the Butler, and served the food with his towel on his arm. He came up with that idea all on his own. The party went smoothly esp. because we had Aunt Leslie here who is the ultimate party planner. She helped make all the food and was a HUGE help in getting ready for the party! Reese and Brynn were thrilled to have her come visit, they LOVE Aunt Leslie!
Reese has been asking for a Belle dress since she turned 4, and she finally got her Belle dress and was in heaven! She also got some high heels made for little girls, that are actual shoes and not those plastic things. Not my finer moment as a mother, but I blame Ryan who talked me into going back and buying them for her. They are strappy high heels that are silver, covered in glitter and have rhinestones. Yikes is right! I said it was Ryan’s fault. Now if I could only get her not to wear socks with them we’d be good.

Instead of party hats we had party tiaras. Princess Merida (Lola)

After the party we all took little naps, and then Leslie and I got to party on our own when we went out shopping! Ryan watched the girls and we hit up an awesome sale at Ann Taylor Loft. We had a great time shopping together and we were each very successful with our purchases! It was a super fun weekend.
Since Reese’s birthday is a Monday (tomorrow) so we spent the day with her doing fun things. We went to Brewster Street for lunch and then headed over to the Aquarium for the afternoon. We also went to Sinton, took her to see the giant squirrel, tried to find a park (we were not successful, and the park we did find looked kind of shady to me) and then got blizzards at Dairy Queen. It was a great afternoon had by all! petting the sting raysSo Serious!biggest sting ray I have ever seen

Reese put on a puppet show for Brynn who had fun watching all the animals
I can’t believe that Reese is 5 years old. It doesn’t seem like she’s that old, and it’s crazy to think she’s been keeping me on my toes for that long. She’s a crazy kid, with a TON of personality, a sassy attitude, and wild imagination. I wish she would stay this size forever (although I have said that every year) but 5 is fun, she knows what she wants and keeps us all entertained all day and is way smarter than she needs to be.
Happy Birthday Reese!
