A weekend of firsts!

Brynn has been eating lots of food and enjoys all the new foods she’s trying. I think her favorites are mangoes and avocados. I can tell you that she’s a girl after my own heart and that she hates peas. She will take a few bites and then refuse to eat more unless I give her something else. I fake her out with avocados in between bites of peas, and the best is that since they are the same color she’s clueless. I think this might be the last time I make her peas since she hates them so much. Butternut squash and pears are next up for us.

Reese took over feeding the other night while I was cooking dinner. She did a pretty good job when Brynn wasn’t busy laughing at her.

This Saturday Reese had her first kickball game. She had a great time, played catcher and did a great job at it. She was so happy! The girls played for about 45 minutes (as they don’t keep score) then it got pretty hot and the kids lost all focus. The coach’s husband said if we were keeping score we would have won. Who knows…Reese kicked the ball every time she was up and ran super fast getting to every base. Her team is the Cudas005006Cudas!017waiting to take team pictures

Needless to say Reese hasn’t figured out that I am not one to waste money on crap we’ll never need. So we passed on the trading cards for Kickball…but someone got her feelings hurt that she wasn’t taking solo pics. So we were the family that threw her up there without filling in any paperwork so she would think that she had her picture taken and we took some so we could show her. I bet the photo company is going to be confused when they get to her pics and see her blank envelope.

We played outside for a while on Sunday since it was such a nice day. We got out Brynn’s baby swing and she enjoyed it. You wouldn’t know it because she’s so serious. Reese loved that thing and cracked up laughing every time he was in it. Brynn acts like she could care less. Funny kid that one. Reese had a blast pushing her. We also did some science experiments that she got from Leslie for her birthday but I didn’t get any pics of that because I was busy working hard with Reese.

It’s getting hot here in the afternoons, so I think that sadly our spring weather is over and we’re headed into summer soon. It was fabulous last week with temps in the high 70’s and low 80’s with a breeze and no humidity. Amazing weather…it left and now we have high 70’s before the sun is up and 80’s with humidity in the afternoon. Not so amazing, but nice. You can find us at the park with friends every afternoon.
