Barnyard Birthday Party

Reese got invited to her friend Frannie’s 2nd birthday party last weekend and the petting zoo was there. It was the same petting zoo that was at her school the week before so she was happy to see all the animals again.

As you can see they also had face painting. At first she was a little nervous (it was her first time) but when she saw the finished project she was thrilled.

We’ve been playing outside a LOT lately, mostly because in about another week or so it won’t be nice enough to play outside anymore. Today was a bit on the warm side, but earlier this week the tropical storm force winds cooled you off nicely (and kept the mosquitos away as an added bonus). Hopefully the wind will stick around for a little longer, because once summer rolls in the wind usually rolls out.

Maybe this weekend we’ll head to the beach for a little pre summer fun…that is if the federal gov’t doesn’t shut down…because then the National Seashore (where we go to the beach) will be shut down too. BOO!
