He was tired after the first twenty minutes!

We had a regular week with the temps climbing back up and we enjoyed the wonderful Spring weather. If only it stayed like this, but I know in less than one month it will be brutally hot, humid, and the wind will be GONE. We spent lots of time outdoors this week, playing at the park across the street, walking in the afternoons, and coloring with chalk on the sidewalks in the back yard. Reese soaked in LOTS of rays. In fact she already is starting to get a suntan...no worries I'm starting the sunscreen regime this week.
I figured it was time to move on from taking the same picture of her standing in the office to show everyone her latest outfit. Big shout out to MeMe who sent us Reese's summer wardrobe this week. Thanks for the boat load of clothes. Here are a few for your viewing pleasure.
It's not always easy getting her to stand still for a picture. She's trying really hard in this picture to pick leaves off Ryan's plant. It's only one plant she picks and it drives him crazy that she does it. She must understand my disdain for these plants. He has done numerous things for me to hate them so much....like putting all our personal belongings in the back of the pick up truck on the move to Corpus and putting all his plants inside my car so the wind won't hurt them. HE'S INSANE!

I love the capri pants and she can rock her Crocs with them too!

Reese spent the better portion of 30 minutes putting on my socks and running shoes...she's ready to keep up with me, we just have to work on putting them on the correct feet

It was Family Day 2009 at Stroller Strides on Saturday. Tim, Ryan's best friend, was in town for the weekend, so I forced him to come along for a good workout. Luckily for him one of our Moms was hubby free that day so he got to pair up with her and didn't look so out of place. Tim was a good sport. He didn't mind all the running he did but said when we stopped for strength training that was when he got his booty kicked. Below is a picture of Tim stretching after the workout.

My poor husband....Ryan attended last year's Family Day and did well (he was only working for a month at that point and was still in shape) Since last March he has run a total of 2 times (with me) and walked once. Obviously we could tell because halfway through the workout I'm pretty sure he was sucking wind. I know he didn't want me to notice. As I was stroller free (I figured since I push everyday it was Ryan's turn) I ran to all our stopping points. I happen to be getting good at running so I would look back and pulling up the rear of the line was Ryan....beat red face and panting. Poor guy. I think he sees now how hard I work during the mornings. At the end, Tim and I were waiting for him and noticed once again he was at the end of the line walking...then all of a sudden a little run...we figured it was so he would make us think he was giving it his all. He admitted his defeat to my workout regime...but tried to say he was in the back because he was chatting with the people back there. It might have been the case but Ryan my friend I think your wife has finally taken the lead when it comes to physical fitness. I've been waiting years for this to happen and let me tell you my friends it feels good....very good. (As you can see I'm not competitive at ALL when it comes to whipping my hub's ass)

One very tired and worn out man. I love you Ryan but I know Stroller Strides kicked your ass. :)
Reese playing outside. We colored, rode in the wagon and watched Ryan mow the lawn. If he's outside she HAS to be out there with him. Her Opa made this table for her

Sunday afternoon we ventured to the car wash as my car was filthy. From now on I'll just buy car wash soap and do it myself...since apparently Little Miss was not to happy about how it all went down. Chewie on the other hand was laying down in the truck silently. The first pass of the soap left us in sheer panic mode.

A little more subdued after I tried telling her the car wash was fun

Man I sure hope her hair grows soon because it's getting to that awkward stage where nothing can be done with it. Let's also hope she figures out that clips and ponytail holders are her friends. I cling to the hope that in the summer all the humidity with just make all her hair curly and then it will at least have something going for it.
