I am sorry I am so behind on posting pictures. We have been pretty busy since kickball season started. We have games twice a week, and practice on some days we don’t have games. To say I enjoy doing nothing on Saturday nights is an understatement. I feel like all we do is strategically plan our dinner schedule around other activities.
Spring Break came and went. The girls and I had a great time that week. The week started when the girls got to go camping with Oma and Opa while they were down in Rockport camping. Ryan and I had a brief day to ourselves, where I filed our taxes and he put in raised beds for a garden. That night we did get to go out to dinner alone, something that those of us to don’t live a stones throw away from our parents never get to do.
I also moved Brynn’s bed into Reese’s room. Brynn had been sneaking in there to sleep in Reese’s bed in the middle of the night anyway. It was great for one week…then Brynn turned into a chatty Kathy and kept Reese from going to bed so she got moved back to her own room.
I took the girls to Victoria, TX on Monday of Spring Break. It also happened to be St. Patrick’s Day. They have a small zoo we visited, then had a picnic lunch, the girls got gourmet cupcakes and then we headed home to make Irish Soda Bread. Ryan had the roaster at work and was in charge of babysitting our Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner for the night. It was to die for….even the girls devoured it.
My Lucky Charms.
Aunt Darlene sent the girls these great St. Patty’s Day mustaches.
The next day Frozen came out on DVD. Here is Reese over the moon that she had Frozen in her possession when she woke up. I went to Wal-mart at 6:30 a.m. to buy it. Ryan took the day off that day for Spring Break so we kicked off the day while we watched Frozen (since he had never seen it)
At the end of the week we headed to Houston to visit Meems, Grampy, Leslie, Nana and Grandma. My Aunt Tania and Uncle Tony were also visiting from Belgium so we went to see them as well. Friday, Leslie had the day off so we went to the American Girl Store. Reese has my doll from when I was little so we surprised her by taking her shopping for new dresses etc. for Samantha.
Brynn brainstorming how to get a doll for herself.
Watching Samantha getting her hair done at the beauty shop.
Then we ventured over to the Port of Houston where Leslie works to see it and check out the tour boat.
Since Brynn didn’t get an American Girl, and her baby “Baby Dear” is always naked, we took her to buy a new outfit. She picked it out herself and Baby Dear is now wearing clothes 24/7.
Our bff Jack turned 5 over Spring Break and had a party the last weekend of S. B. so we partied at his house.
B partied so hard she had to wear Oliver’s underpants.
Training for her 5K, which she ran on 4/12, came in 4th place in her age group and was the youngest runner to cross the finish line. I ran with her, there was lots of moaning, but she finished!
She figured out how to unlock dead bolts.
Heading off to kickball, Ryan is an assistant coach, and I am the team mom.
April 5th, we headed to CS for a baseball game and Mom’s bday!

Right before our 5k race. So proud of her for running.
We had an Easter Egg Hunt at Church on Palm Sunday

Post egg hunt with my Amish looking husband
Leslie was able to come visit for a few days before Easter. Here was our Good Friday ballet show…
Telling the Ferguson’s that the Easter Bunny came and left eggs in both our yards.
Reese took one bite of dinner Easter Sunday and lost another tooth. The Tooth Fairy had to work on a holiday.
Ryan also shaved his beard…no more Duck Dynasty/Amish Ryan anymore!
We have lots more things planned for the next month so bear with me while I entertain kids…
